Pre-Trial Discovery
Pretrial discovery involves the sharing of relevant legal information between parties to a law suit. The type of information can include:
- Interrogatories: Requests for Further Information (RFIs) which must be answered by an adversary
- Depositions: Testimony of potential witnesses, given under oath
- Affidavits: These are accepted by some jurisdictions in place of depositions
- Requests for Admissions: Statements or allegations sent to your adversary requiring an admission or denial
- Motions or Requests: Requiring your adversary to produce documents or other evidence
Tomlinson, Rust, McKinstry & Grable attorneys understand that pretrial discovery can be expensive, and utilize technology, such as OCR scanning and digital storage, to minimize your costs where possible.
