Lance Schneiter is an experienced trial lawyer whose primary practice emphasis includes the protection and development of intellectual property portfolios, personal injury, product liability, insurance defense, and medical malpractice. His practice also covers business development and litigation, including contracts, distribution agreements and franchising.

Lance has provided counsel to clients, including established and startup companies in a wide variety of industries, such as insurance, manufacturing, agriculture, retail, construction, software, biotech, consumer packaged goods and heavy machinery.

Representative Engagements

  • Represented company as defense counsel in multi-district complex patent litigation involving allegations of damages in excess of five hundred million dollars, resulting in settlement after multiple hearings and the invalidation of three patents of a competitor
  • Represented individuals and insurance companies as plaintiff and defense counsel in various cases involving personal injury, property damages or wrongful death as the result of allegedly defective products
  • Represented numerous insurance carriers as plaintiff and defense counsel in various cases involving automobile, homeowner, medial malpractice and commercial policies
  • Represented local and national corporations as counsel for the development, protection, maintenance or purchase of intellectual property rights, including representation of companies involved in national disputes related to patent and trademark infringement

While attending the University of Oklahoma, Lance served a member of the Luther Bohanon American Inn of Court, the American Trial Lawyers Association, and the Intellectual Property Society.

Oklahoma County, Oklahoma and American Bar Associations. Lance is licensed to practice in all federal districts of Oklahoma. He is also listed in the America's Registry of Outstanding Professionals.

In 2004, Lance was appointed by Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry to serve on the Olmstead Strategic Planning Committee, which maintains oversight of disability service programs to ensure that disabled citizens have access to all state services. Lance has also lectured on the effective taking and defending of depositions to fellow trial lawyers, and volunteers his time to work with Oklahoma Lawyers for Children.
